What a procurement consultant does
A procurement consultant takes the public contract from notice to signature. In practice that means three things: finding the procurements worth your time, reading the tender documents so the requirements and the scoring model are understood before the work starts, and producing the tender so that every requirement is answered and evidenced when it is submitted.
We do this every week. It shows most in what the documents do not say: which attachments usually go missing, how to read a mandatory requirement when the wording is unclear, and what quality is actually worth in points once the model is worked through. We sit in Gothenburg and work with clients across Sweden, since procurements are published and submitted digitally.
Winning tenders, and winning more of them
Winning a procurement is rarely about a better turn of phrase. It is about not failing on formalities, pricing against the scoring model rather than against a gut feeling, and submitting in enough procurements for the outcome to become a trend rather than a coincidence.
A contract won is rarely the last one either. Framework agreements run for years and are then procured again, and whoever has already delivered has something to write about next time. See how it has gone for others among our cases.
