Sweden's public sector
can be your best customer

Every year, Swedish agencies, regions and municipalities procure for nearly SEK 1,000 billion. The tender documents are in Swedish and so are the answers. We write them for you, and help you stay on that market once you are in.

Key figures

These are the numbers we are measured on

0

tenders we submit every year, across widely different industries and in procurements of every size.

0%

of our tenders lead to a contract.

0m SEK

in contract value won by our clients last year.

0

partner company per industry and field. We never work for your competitors.

The problem

Anyone may bid. Far from everyone wins.

The Swedish public sector is an unusually safe customer. Invoices get paid, contracts run long, and the need does not disappear when the economy turns. Most companies still stay outside it, and rarely because they are worse than the ones who win.

Public business simply follows different rules than private. What decides the outcome is not how good you are, but how well you manage to show it within the frame of a set of tender documents. For a company based outside Sweden there is one more frame: the procurement is run in Swedish, start to finish. Three things get in the way most often.

  • 01
    There is no time.

The tender has to be written while the everyday business still has to run, and the deadline never moves.

  • 02
    Requirements carry different weight.

A good answer and a winning answer are two different things. The difference sits in the evaluation model, and it is easy to miss.

  • 03
    Nothing is learned.

When you lose, you are rarely told why in a way you can use. So the next tender starts over from the beginning.

The answer is therefore not to submit more tenders, but to submit the right ones. Year after year.

How we work

A business line is not built on a single tender

This is what a collaboration with us looks like.

1

We map your market

Which agencies buy what you sell? When do their current contracts run out? Who are you up against, and at what prices have they won before?

2

We rule things out

Most procurements are not worth your time. We point out the ones you can realistically win and advise against the rest. A well-founded no is a better strategy than a casual yes.

3

We write the tender

We hold the process together, put the questions to your organisation, formulate the answers in Swedish and make sure the formalities are in place. You contribute your knowledge of the delivery, we do the rest.

4

We build on it

Every tender makes the next one better. We follow up award decisions, review the competitors' tenders and sharpen the next tender accordingly. After a couple of years you have a portfolio of public contracts instead of the odd one.

A well-founded no is a better strategy than a casual yes.
Exclusivity

Your competitor never becomes our client

We work with only one company within each industry and field. For as long as the collaboration runs, we turn down every one of your competitors on the same market.

For you that means you can show us everything. The pricing, the margins, the weak points in the delivery. None of it ever ends up in a competitor's tender, and you never have to weigh what you can tell us.

It also means the knowledge grows in one place. The more procurements we do together, the better we know your market, your buyers and your competitors. That knowledge works for you alone.

  • Your prices and your market data stay inside the collaboration.
  • We never stand on two sides of the same procurement.
  • We choose our partner for each industry and field with care.

Business model

We make money when you do

We charge a start-up fee per tender. It does not cover what the tender costs us to produce. The money comes once you have won the contract.

That makes the choice of procurement as much our problem as yours. We cannot advise you to bid on something we do not believe in, and we have no margin to be sloppy in the ones we take on. That way we win and lose together.

Common in the industry

Hourly rates

More hours spent benefits the consultant regardless of how it goes.

What we do

Paid once you have won

A start-up fee per tender, and the bulk only when the contract is yours. We have nothing to gain from a tender you lose.

The right match

How to tell whether we are right for you

We are right for you if

  • you have a business that works on the private market and want to try the Swedish public sector
  • you have bid before, but win so rarely that the work does not feel worth it
  • you want to build a portfolio of public contracts rather than chase a single one
  • you can set aside a few hours per tender to answer our questions

We are a poorer fit if

  • you are looking for someone to fill in documents without questioning anything
  • you want a monitoring tool rather than a partner
  • we already work with your closest competitor in your industry

A start-up fee per tender and a fee that falls due when you win. The level depends on the size of the contract and how extensive the tender is. You get a clear price before we begin, and we never work on open hours.

Yes. Swedish procurements are open to suppliers from other countries, and a foreign company may not be treated less favourably. What stops most of them is practical rather than legal: the documents are in Swedish, the deadlines are short and the formal requirements are unforgiving. That part is what we handle.

Count on a few hours per tender. We need your knowledge of your products and services, your references and your capacity, but we handle everything else.

As soon as a relevant procurement is advertised. We have started collaborations with two weeks left to the deadline, but we recommend beginning with the mapping at a calmer pace.

We go through the award decision together and request the winning tender where that is possible. Then we take the conclusions into the next procurement. That is how the share of tenders won grows.

No, not within the same industry and field. Get in touch anyway, the market is usually broader than it looks on the surface.

it costs nothing
