As a company we are grateful to take part in journeys where we create value, not least when the world looks the way it does. Working with procurement and helping our clients submit tenders to the public sector in areas that benefit society at large, and that are appreciated by people, not least by people living as refugees, is a motivation that drives us.
Research ahead of the procurement
A first step is of course to read the documents, analyse them and read them again. What does the need look like for the authority, and what is actually being asked for?
The procurement from the Migration Agency was extensive, with tough requirements for approval. Among other things, the tender had to include relevant title deeds, air flow protocols, cooperation agreements and fire safety documentation. The quality review of every document was therefore especially important in making sure the facilities passed the agency's inspection.
An important tool during the procurement was looking at earlier procurements in the same area. What had been asked for, and does the need differ now from the earlier procurements? In what way can we learn from the history?
Although questions and answers are always a priority, the function became especially important here in making sure our client had all the conditions in front of them, and of course in making sure that the tender we submitted together with the client checked off the need.
